Can I find a duo partner on nextduo?
Yes. The Duo intent is built specifically for this. nextduo matches by your main game, rank, role, playstyle, server, and queue schedule — so you find someone worth queuing with more than once, not just a random teammate.
Is nextduo only for dating?
No. nextduo has four intent lanes: Dating, Duo, Friends, and Gaming Buddy Only. You choose what you're here for. Gaming Buddy Only mode uses an avatar instead of a real photo and keeps you out of dating discovery entirely.
Is nextduo LGBTQ+ friendly?
Yes, nextduo is inclusive by default. We support all genders, sexualities, and pronouns, with advanced filters that let you match with exactly who you want to meet. What games does nextduo support?
nextduo launches with a curated list of popular game categories — including tactical shooters, MOBAs, survival games, sandbox games, and more. You can also add any custom game. Game names are user-selectable interest categories; nextduo is not affiliated with any game publisher.
Does nextduo use official game logos or publisher assets?
No. nextduo uses only original artwork created for the platform. Game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. nextduo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or developer.
Why does nextduo require a real photo for dating discovery?
Dating discovery requires one approved real photo to protect the safety and honesty of the community. If you prefer privacy, Gaming Buddy Only mode lets you use a fun avatar and opt out of dating discovery entirely — no real photo needed.
Is nextduo 18+?
Yes. nextduo is strictly for adults 18 and older. We verify your date of birth at signup and enforce this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed.
How does nextduo match people?
nextduo calculates a match score based on shared games, overlapping queue schedules, voice preference alignment, playstyle, server or region, and dating intent. It shows you exactly which factors contributed — not just a number, but a reason to say hi.
Can I use nextduo without showing up in dating discovery?
Yes. Choose Gaming Buddy Only mode during onboarding or from your settings. In this mode you use an avatar instead of a real photo and only appear in gaming-only discovery, never in dating discovery. Your identity, your rules.
How do blocking and reporting work?
Blocking and reporting are free, always — no paywall, no exceptions. Blocking is instant and two-way: the blocked user cannot see or message you, and we do not tell them they were blocked. Reporting flags a profile for review by our moderation team. You can also unmatch or hide your profile at any time.
